Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' mental health status, utilizing a variety of standardized assessment tools and interviews to accurately identify their needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique circumstances and challenges faced by each client, and adjust approaches based on their progress.
  • Provide therapy services to individuals, families, and groups using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and others as appropriate.
  • Work closely with school staff, including educators and counselors, to coordinate care and develop strategies that support the mental health needs of students within the educational environment.
  • Offer crisis intervention and immediate support in situations of acute distress, employing therapeutic techniques to stabilize clients and develop safety plans.
  • Engage in community outreach initiatives promoting mental health awareness, contributing to workshops and events aimed at reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues among students and families.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Mental Health Therapist will primarily serve students within the school system, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will play a crucial role in fostering resilience and emotional well-being, guiding young people toward healthier coping mechanisms and academic success.

Qualifications
  • A valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; a Doctorate level degree is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective engagement with students, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and the ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underrepresented communities.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a focus on meticulous documentation and record-keeping in accordance with licensing and regulatory standards.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within a school environment or with youth populations, understanding the unique dynamics present in educational settings.
  • Familiarity with integrated care models and collaborative frameworks that enhance mental health support in academic contexts.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and electronic documentation systems that facilitate remote therapy sessions and client management.
Compensation and Benefits
