Position Overview

Turning Leaf Mind Rehab Consultation, LLC is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in providing remote psychological support. This full-time position focuses on delivering trauma-informed care to individuals grappling with the complexities of trauma, PTSD, and other related disorders. You will play a crucial role in shaping the therapeutic journey for our clients.

Work Environment

This is a remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the Glendale, Arizona area. Utilizing a telehealth model, you will engage with your clients through secure video conferencing platforms, making mental health support accessible and convenient. Your work schedule will generally be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for a variety of therapeutic and administrative tasks:

  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ history and current mental health status.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience.
  • Utilize evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions to support clients in processing trauma and building effective coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care for patients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention as needed during sessions to support clients experiencing acute trauma responses.
  • Engage in educational initiatives, guiding patients and their families on trauma responses and available resources.
  • Document treatment progress meticulously in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and internal team meetings focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will center on assisting clients wounded by trauma. Our patients may include individuals diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, predominantly stemming from personal experiences such as abuse, neglect, or life-threatening events. You will deliver empathetic and informed care designed to foster healing and resilience.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed interventions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a warm, non-judgmental approach to therapy.
  • The ability to maintain composure in high-pressure or emotional situations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth technology.
  • A collaborative spirit, ready to engage with a multidisciplinary team for the best patient outcomes.
