• Translate business and operational requirements into functional specifications and solution designs aligned with SAP S/4HANA, SAP TM, and enterprise integration architecture.
• Guide design and configuration decisions across key event management areas such as transportation milestones, freight order and freight unit status tracking, event profiles, expected events, actual event reporting, exception monitoring, alerting, and visibility dashboards.
• Ensure alignment with integration points across SAP modules and related systems, including TM, EWM, MM, SD, GTS, master data, interfaces, reporting, and external carrier or logistics partner event feeds.
• Provide expert recommendations on process standardization, system utilization, data quality, governance, and organizational change impacts.
• Act as a trusted advisor by balancing mission requirements, operational constraints, technical feasibility, and SAP best practices.
• Lead the translation of current-state logistics visibility needs into structured requirements, user stories, business process flows, and functional design artifacts.
• Validate that configured event management solutions meet business requirements, operational scenarios, exception workflows, and reporting needs.
• Support deployment planning, data readiness, cutover activities, defect triage, user readiness, and transition to operations.
• Contribute to training materials, user guidance, standard operating procedures, process documentation, and operational playbooks.
• Identify adoption risks related to event quality, interface readiness, user behavior, and process ownership, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Recommend enhancements based on operational data, user feedback, defect trends, and evolving mission needs.
Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive SAP, logistics, supply chain, transportation management, or enterprise systems experience, with at least 5 years focused on SAP TM and/or transportation event management capabilities.
• Demonstrated expertise supporting SAP TM implementations, enhancements, sustainment, or modernization efforts in large enterprise, federal, or DoD environments.
• Hands-on experience with transportation event tracking, milestones, status management, exception handling, alerts, notifications, visibility processes, and operational reporting.
• Experience translating operational requirements into functional designs, configuration guidance, integration requirements, test scenarios, and user-facing process documentation.
• Experience supporting end-to-end transportation processes across planning, execution, carrier coordination, freight order management, shipment visibility, settlement touchpoints, and exception resolution.
• Proven ability to support government stakeholders, compliance reviews, design reviews, requirements traceability, and regulated implementation environments.
