Trade Sales Representativeย 

Location: Remote - Must live in the Nashville TN Metro Area

We are seeking a motivated Trade Sales Representative to drive business growth through strategic relationships with builders, interior designers, remodelers, contractors, multifamily developers, and other trade professionals.

This role combines consultative sales, design expertise, business development, and project coordination. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted partner to trade clients, helping specify and deliver custom window treatment solutions that align with project goals, design aesthetics, budgets, and timelines.

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding the company's presence within the builder and design community while helping establish scalable sales processes and infrastructure to support future growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with builders, interior designers, architects, remodelers, contractors, and multifamily developers

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the residential construction, remodeling, and design communities

  • Network within industry organizations and attend local trade events to build brand awareness and generate referrals

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for trade partners throughout the project lifecycle

Consultative Sales & Design Support

  • Meet with builders, designers, and project stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications

  • Recommend custom window treatment solutions that align with design objectives, functionality, budgets, and construction schedules

  • Provide product expertise on blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, and motorization systems

  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and project specifications

  • Conduct site visits and field measurements as needed

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with installers, vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution

  • Manage project timelines, product ordering, and installation scheduling

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project details, and sales activity

  • Monitor active projects to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business opportunities

In addition to sales responsibilities, this individual will have the opportunity to:

  • Help establish and improve sales processes and workflows

  • Assist with selecting and implementing a CRM system

  • Develop lead tracking and customer follow-up procedures

  • Provide input on sales strategy, reporting, and pipeline management

  • Help create scalable systems to support future company growth

  • Collaborate directly with ownership on operational improvements and business development initiatives

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience required

  • Experience working with builders, contractors, architects, interior designers, or related trade professionals

  • Strong relationship-building and business development skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously

  • Consultative selling approach with strong problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills

  • Ability to learn technical product specifications and design applications

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Preferred Experience

  • Window coverings or architectural products sales

  • Interior design industry experience

  • Residential construction, remodeling, or homebuilding industry experience

  • Trade sales or specification sales experience

  • Multifamily or commercial project sales experience

  • CRM and sales pipeline management experience

Work Environment
