Overview
This position is responsible for managing events from start to finish, including order entry, communicating with event contacts, maximizing sales at each event, reconciling all inventory/accounting paperwork after events. They are also responsible for receiving and sorting items in the Lenexa warehouse, as well as loading and unloading all semi-trucks to and from various events. Travels to site championship events to oversee entire operation, including inventory, reorders, and reconciliation with site.

Essential Duties
  • Enters all orders into order entry system within one week, if not sooner, from receiving merchandise plan
  • Strives to achieve an 85% sell through of collegiate merchandise for each assigned site.
  • Operational plans completed for major collegiate events within one/two months of the event start date
  • All paperwork relating to events is turned over to finance coordinator within one week of the conclusion of your events.
  • Ensures usage of residual inventory at all conference championships and communicate with event or merchandise manager when additional conference generic product needs to be reordered.
  • Travels on site to major NCAA and Conference Events and manages inventory and sales opportunities. All travel will be communicated within one month from travel date.
  • Communicates with host event sties before, during, and after the event to make sure we are maximizing sales, as well as verifying receipt of all items, possible reorders as well as return instructions for all unsold goods.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal for effectively working with host institutions on a regular basis.
  • Sets Event in a Box information compiled in a timely manner to have ready to ship out when required.
  • Maintains a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Ensures all travel arrangements are made at least 30 days in advance.
  • Assists Finance Coordinator in communicating with site contacts regarding outstanding or delinquent site information, payment or assets.
  • Finishes recaps within the deadline set by the event manager.
  • Ensures inventory starting verification and settlements with site are completed prior to start and immediately after event concludes.
  • Ability to load and unload semi-trucks from various events in all possible weather conditions.
  • Work from the warehouse when needed and when asked by the event manager.

Physical Demands:
โ€ข While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear; to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and to use hands and arms to reach, handle and operate objects, tools, controls and equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop or crouch for long period of times, and must be able to push, lift, and carry 40-50 pounds of merchandise and fixtures when participating in store builds or truck unloading.
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent years of comparable experience
โ€ข Solid decision-making skills with the ability to influence others
โ€ข Knowledge and passion for collegiate sports strongly preferred
โ€ข Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time and at times work in hot and humid conditions
โ€ข Ability to adjust to all of the different responsibilities that will be assigned and not afraid to step in and help
โ€ข Ability to work in a warehouse and accomplish all tasks given to achieve the end goal
โ€ข Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
โ€ข Substantial travel is required and will be gone over weekends and potential Holidays as well.
โ€ข Willingness to be trained on an electric pallet jack, as well as an electric reach truck, to store and remove products
and supplies in an elevated racking system.
