Electrical Design Engineer – Industrial / Commercial Facility Power Distribution / Lighting / Emergency Backup / Project Management / PE – Mooresville, NC #4997

Join an industry leading team with an outstanding career opportunity with a 30+ year EPC company for an Electrical Design Engineer to design power distribution, emergency backup, lighting, and fire alarm systems for industrial and commercial facilities. This direct-hire position is based in Troutman, North Carolina, with an employee-owned engineering and construction company. The role emphasizes multi-discipline coordination on complex new construction and renovation projects.

Responsibilities:

-Design medium and low voltage power distribution systems, including emergency backup power like generators and UPS.

-Prepare electrical drawings and specifications in Autodesk Revit, and perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, voltage drop, and photometric studies.

-Coordinate designs with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, and civil disciplines, support QAQC, and manage production teams, including remote work-sharing

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required along with three to five years of experience designing power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems for industrial or commercial facilities

-Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, PTW, AGI Photometrics, and Bluebeam is desired

-Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, energy codes like IECC and ASHRAE 90.1, and LEED design criteria

-Experience with multi-discipline coordination

Compensation and Benefits:
