SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION:

Join the team at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, consistently ranked as one of the top pediatric hospitals in the country. As an Epic Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, which is integral to our patient care delivery, registration, scheduling, and billing processes. Your contributions will ensure that our clinical, revenue cycle, and operational support teams can provide optimal care and service.

*** While we offer the flexibility of remote work for this position, we encourage team members to be on-site occasionally to ensure effective collaboration, access to resources, and direct interaction with team members and clients, which enhance communication and project outcomes.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Support

  • Provide direct technical support and second and third-level problem resolution assistance.
  • Adhere to compliance requirements with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving application problems.
  • Collaborate with other Epic and IS teams as well as outside vendors to ensure proper system functionality.
  • Identify or develop alternative resolutions to problems, considering available resources, historical precedents, and consequences of implementation.
  • Utilize appropriate Issue Management and Change Control methods to implement system solutions.
  • Support departmental efforts to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate and monitor system performance and functionality to prevent potential issues.

Project Management

  • Participate in developing project plans and executing them.
  • Serve as a liaison to other CCHMC departments for assigned projects.
  • Independently prioritize assigned tasks and projects based on directives from supervisors or customers.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between internal and external parties on project/task-related issues and developments.
  • Work independently with cross-functional teams.
