Job Summary:

Responsible for understanding and documenting complex business needs as well as recommending appropriate IT solutions. Extensive knowledge of customer workflow, application software and building tools. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of software functionality. Coordinates and oversees team members in the planning, implementation and testing of IT functionality to meet operational workflow needs.

Works with Informatics in developing Visio models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance and data integrity.

Acts as a role model and mentor for staff; enforces best practices, accepts stretch assignments, creates and maintains on-call schedules for their team, leads service improvement efforts within the team, creates education sessions to share technical knowledge and facilitates team meetings when requested by the team manager. Develops creative solutions to address business and clinical challenges. The Lead Application Analyst position can manage external IT vendor relations for greater than 5 business, revenue cycle and/or clinical applications.

Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to cybersecurity and HIPAA policies and practices.

Position Responsibilities:

Maintains extensive working knowledge and documentation of business processes, workflows and regulatory requirements. Facilitates effective customer engagement through regular meetings, rounding, participation in IT initiatives, and communications regarding requirements, enhancements and priorities.

Provides oversight of day-to-day support of multiple IT applications overseeing teamwork efforts in the design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical/revenue cycle applications responsible for maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the software functionality.

Coordinates and leads team members in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects and work assignments.

Defines and documents system scope and objectives based on knowledge of the clinical/revenue cycle systems and user needs.Fosters teamwork and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Develops creative solutions to address business and clinical challenges. Defines and documents system scope and objectives based on knowledge of the clinical/revenue cycle systems and user needs.

Develops detailed design specifications and builds application components based on customer needs. Analyzes new functionality in releases to determine how it should be used.

Represents business application needs as part of the annual IT strategic planning process.

Works independently to manage components of medium to large-size, complex clinical/revenue cycle system projects, provides mentoring of system analysts, and provides support of others on the clinical/revenue cycle system within the designated timeframe following all project management standards. Projects can be cross several application teams.

Acts as a subject matter expert in underlying application and infrastructure architecture. This involves leading the efforts to define use cases, research and analysis of functional needs and technical system analysis.

Actively leads and facilitates meetings.

Works across interdisciplinary project teams and operational staff, building and fostering effective business relationships with clinical/revenue cycle partners (physicians, nurses, technologists, and operational partners) in the specification and design of clinical/revenue cycle system project and future business state processes.

Actively participates in system build, configuration, and testing events. Develops complex test plans and completes unit and integrated testing for supported applications. Executing testing with 3rd party applications. Prepares required testing validation documentation and obtains review and necessary approvals for go-live

Leads and provides guidance to junior staff with system upgrades, issue resolution and application development. Acts as a technical resource to other IT staff. Collaboratively works with vendors and IT partners to ensure on-going service and resolution of issues. Actively participates in system build, configuration, and testing events.

Adheres to IT Standards with Problem Management, Change Management. Content Management, Data Courier and IT Practices as required to provide 24x7 on-call support as scheduled and part. Assists with development, implementation and testing of disaster recovery plans for Virtua environment.

Reviews the team's Service Now ticket queues to ensure compliance with expected ITmetrics for problems, requests and incidents.

Assigns tickets to appropriate analyst following review of Service Now ticket content.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:

At least 8 years of experience in Information Technology supporting Healthcare applications.

Business, Revenue Cycle, Financial or clinical specialty experience required.

Experience leading colleagues' work, projects, and activities, required.

Must be knowledgeable regarding the business of health care, the flows of information and emerging technologies. Must be able to function independently and as part of a team.

Must be able to deal with ambiguity and multiple priorities in a busy decentralized multi-entity environment.

Must be an excellent role model and service provider with a commitment to quality, with the ability to convey confidence in the IT function and provide leadership and mentoring to staff.

Excellent facilitation and communication skills.

Proficient with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, MS Teams, and PowerPoint, andService Now.

Required Education:

B.A./B.S. in Information Systems or related field required. Relevant years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Training/Certifications/Licensure:

Expertise and certification required in multiple IT applications. Other certifications may be requested as needed by Virtua. If IT certification, such as Epic certification, is required at time of hire, employee must obtain up-to-date certification in designated application(s) within 6 months of employment.

Annual Salary: $98,700 - $158,398 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.Virtua offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: medical/prescription, dental and vision insurance; health and dependent care flexible spending accounts; 403(b) (401(k) subject to collective bargaining agreement); paid time off, paid sick leave as provided under state and local paid sick leave laws, short-term disability and optional long-term disability, colleague and dependent life insurance and supplemental life and AD&D insurance; tuition assistance, and an employee assistance program that includes free counseling sessions.
