How you will create an impact:

  • Represent Simon-Kucher, as an individual contributor, to deliver high-quality outputs and deliverables, meeting and exceeding client expectations.
  • Contribute to project planning and execution by ensuring alignment of project delivery to client needs and objectives.
  • Drive client engagements by delivering high-impact insights, enhanced analysis, and incorporating deep expertise to create client-focused, value-driven deliverables.
  • Advise and support customers in the development of AI-based products across various business sectors (mobility, IoT, industry, consumer goods, financial services, and non-profit organizations).
  • Apply theoretical knowledge to develop predictive models using modern statistical analysis methods and mathematical models.
  • Conduct predictive analyses by selecting, testing, and applying machine learning and artificial intelligence methods.
  • Design innovative strategies for pricing, marketing, and sales for our customers, using expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Stay current with emerging research and market changes while actively engaging in team discussions on the latest data trends.
  • Prepare client-ready deliverables and independently present workstream findings and recommendations to senior clients, incorporating their feedback.
  • Provide exceptional client service, communicate effectively, and handle challenging situations.
  • Become part of the growing and multicultural team, working with internal and external business and technology experts from around the world.

About you:

  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar fields.
  • 1-3 years of experience working as a Data Scientist and proficient with Python and SQL.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI and/or Tableau and are well-versed in relational databases and the ETL process.
  • Skilled in selecting, testing and applying statistical, AI and ML models such as Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines (SVM), Tree-based Models (Decision Trees, Random Forest, XGBoost, CatBoost, LGBM, etc.).
  • Familiar with the most common cloud-based machine learning platforms (AWS Sagemaker, GCP Vertex AI, Azure ML).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English, both written and verbal, with a client-focused attitude.
  • Inclusive and empathetic team member; some supervisory experience in mentoring and coaching others is a plus.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sharp, analytical, and problem-solving mindset and work in a structured manner.
  • Strong collaboration and teamworking skills.
  • Enjoys learning and stay up to date on new technologies and strategies in the market.
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required for U.S. office locations. Simon-Kucher does not offer sponsorship for this position. (Please note that CPT and OPT are restricted forms of work authorization.)
  • In-office or client site presence 2โ€“3 days per week in alignment with our hybrid working model.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, performance bonus, eligibility for annual merit-based increases, and a comprehensive benefits package.

The base salary range for this position is between $125,000 to $150,000 per year for U.S. roles. Specific compensation within these ranges will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and location. Salary ranges are reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with market conditions.

Benefits for eligible employees include paid time off, 13 paid holidays, medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
