That's Where You Come in as an ESOP Payment Specialist I  


This is an entry-level position, but mid-level applicants are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will learn all about ESOP benefit payments and how to assist our clients and plan participants with their questions.   


We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who can contribute to a dynamic and growing area of our business.   This person will assist with the various steps of the distribution payment process including but not limited to communicating with ESOP participants, preparing distribution forms, opening and closing distribution payment windows, and processing check reissues.  


The team is based out of our Charlottesville, Virginia office. This position will be required as full time on-site at the Charlottesville office for the first 90 days of employment with the possibility of having a hybrid or remote schedule afterward. If an applicant is coming in with the necessary industry-related work experience, then this position can either be worked either on-site, hybrid, or remote upon hiring. Applicants will not be considered for full-time remote work without the necessary skills or job experience.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher is required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Basic to Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Word is required, experience with Outlook is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple demands during the workday.
  • Must have good customer service skills and communicate well with both internal and external contacts. Professional phone and email communication is required for this position.
  • Must be able to follow procedures to ensure accuracy of work.
  • Experience with mail merging is preferred.
  • Must have a willingness to learn new information and software.
  • Must have the ability to handle complexity and to use critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrates effective time management and organization skills.
  • Previous experience working in an administrative setting is a plus.

Bonus Qualifications (to be considered for remote work upon hiring):

  • At least 1+ years of industry experience in working with defined contribution plans, ESOPs preferred.

The base hourly range for this position is $24- $31. This range represents the anticipated pay for this role across multiple U.S. labor markets and is intended as a general guideline. 


Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the role, relevant experience, work location, education and training, key skills, internal equity, external market data, and current business considerations.
