Berkley Entertainment is seeking an experienced Senior Entertainment Underwriter to join their team.ย  This role is located in their Irving, TX office on a hybrid schedule.ย  It can also be remote for a highly qualified candidate.

The Senior Entertainment Underwriter manages a diverse book of business, driving profitable growth across multiple regions. The position will work closely with entertainment-focused brokers to deliver customized insurance solutions across a range of lines including property, inland marine, general liability, automobile, umbrella, and workers' compensation. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with strong underwriting acumen and a passion for the entertainment industry.

  • Develop and negotiate pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions for new and renewal business.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, operations, claims, loss control, marketing, regulatory, and senior leadership teams.
  • Implement and manage strategic pricing and rate plans to drive profitability, growth, and successful producer relations
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with producers, clients, and key stakeholders.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience, in entertainment multi-line packages including Flim and Television. ย ย ย 
  • Strong sales and marketing capabilities with a track record of closing deals.
  • Demonstrate success in marketing, producer management, new business development, and the ability to successfully negotiate on all levels with both internal and external partners.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
  • Solid background in risk analysis and experience with complex accounts.
  • Possess a high degree of proficiency with the underwriting process and partner effectively with an Underwriting Assistant.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with technical issues, compliance, coverage, products and pricing strategies.
  • Adaptability and creativity in a dynamic business environment.
