Technical Writer (Cyber Security) REMOTE 6- Months Contract Job Description: Client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist with a strong background in Cybersecurity, Penetration Testing, and System Hardening. This role involves creating clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation for security products, tools, methodologies, and system hardening processes, ensuring all content is aligned with the needs of both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess troubleshooting experience in Windows and Linux environments and be comfortable working with cybersecurity teams to document penetration testing procedures, vulnerabilities, remediation strategies, and system hardening best practices. Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for penetration testing methodologies, vulnerability assessments, remediation strategies, and system hardening procedures.
  • Write and update user manuals, knowledge base articles, security reports, and other technical documents related to cybersecurity tools, practices, and hardening techniques.
  • Collaborate with security teams to document penetration testing processes, findings, remediation recommendations, and hardening best practices for operating systems, applications, and networks.
  • Troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems to assist in documenting common security issues, solutions, and system hardening steps.
  • Develop step-by-step guides for technical users and administrators for tools and solutions used in ethical hacking, network security, incident response, and system hardening.
  • Maintain and improve the clarity and consistency of all technical documentation, ensuring alignment with company standards.
