We’re seeking a highly skilled Oracle Cloud engineer who is energized by solving complex technical challenges and building cloud solutions that scale. This role is deeply hands-on, blending architectural vision with practical engineering execution. You’ll design, build, secure, and optimize our OCI Platform using Oracle Policy, Role Based Access, OCI Recipes, and OCI Functions, in modern DevOps and automated OCI Environment. You’ll work as part of a team of OCI engineers, collaborating closely to drive cloud innovation and deliver high-quality solutions for our internal customers. 

What You Will Do 

In this Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) role, you’ll help shape strategy, operational direction, and apply hands-on OCI Network and Infrastructure engineering to drive real impact across our Oracle Cloud Platform. 

  • Design and develop core OCI landing zone automation to support scalable, secure, and compliant cloud environments. Implement centralized landing zone management using OCI-native services such as Cloud Guard, Logging, Audit, and Identity domains. 

  • Infrastructure as Code Development: Build and maintain OCI infrastructure using Terraform, Oracle Cloud CLI, Ansible, and API integrations. Develop reusable modules, manage version-controlled deployments, and support environment-specific configurations. 

  • Drive a self-service, automation-first mindset to empower stakeholders with secure, scalable, and efficient cloud deployment capabilities. Providing automation for self-service provisioning and management across both traditional IaaS workloads and modern serverless applications. 

  • Experience designing, implementing, and automating OCI networking architectures; Hands on experience with Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, route tables, security lists, and Network Security Groups (NSGs) to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance connectivity; Demonstratable experience with gateways such as Internet Gateways, NAT Gateways, Service Gateways, and Dynamic Routing Gateways (DRGs) for hub-and-spoke topologies, VCN peering, and hybrid connectivity with on-premises networks via FastConnect or VPN.  

  • Design and implement automated guardrails to enforce security and configuration standards across OCI environments; Develop deployment automation and auto-remediation workflows using OCI Cloud Guard, Functions, and IAM policies; Build critical event detection and notification systems leveraging OCI Monitoring (detectors and responders), Logging, and Alarms to ensure rapid response to anomalies and misconfigurations. 

  • Experience implementing least privilege access controls using OCI IAM policies, dynamic groups, and compartment hierarchies to restrict resource permissions effectively; Hands-on work integrating OCI Identity Domains with enterprise identity systems such as Active Directory or LDAP through federation protocols, SCIM provisioning, and identity bridges for seamless user lifecycle management; Proven skills configuring cloud-native access patterns including federated SSO, multi-factor authentication enforcement, and API gateway authorizations within OCI environments. 

  • Ensure OCI services comply with internal security policies and external standards such as NIST 800-53, CMMC, and other regulatory frameworks. 

  • Integrate OCI with enterprise networks and core IT services to ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability. 

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, document procedures, and recommend architectural improvements to enhance reliability and performance. 

 

 Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 

  • Demonstrated OCI engineering, DevOps practices, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code. 

  • Advanced proficiency with Terraform, Python, Ansible, Bash

  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate across engineering and business teams. 

Qualifications We Prefer 

  • Experience designing and governing Medium / large enterprise-scale Oracle OCI environments. 

  • Background in Cloud security, including OCI Policy, Role Based Access Control, and identity governance. 

  • Experience building or maturing CI/CD pipelines, observability frameworks, and automated testing practices. 

  • Prior leadership experience guiding engineering teams through modernization or cloud transformation efforts.

Role Type - Remote:

This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
