Position Overview

Ultra Care Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic remote outpatient team. This full-time position is centered around delivering comprehensive mental health services tailored to a diverse clientele suffering from substance use and accompanying mental health issues. As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, the LCSW will play an instrumental role in assessing client needs, developing targeted treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions that foster recovery and stability.

About the Organization

Ultra Care Counseling Services is a leading provider of mental health and substance abuse treatment solutions in Richmond, Virginia. Our mission is to empower individuals to overcome their challenges through evidence-based therapies and compassionate support. We believe in creating an inclusive environment where both staff and patients are respected, valued, and heard. Our services include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and ongoing support for all stages of recovery.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a focus on quality care. Working within a detox center environment means our clinical social workers are on the front line, engaging with patients who are in early recovery phases. Our telehealth platform is supported by advanced technology, providing you access to electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient monitoring. We cultivate a collaborative work environment that emphasizes regular communication among healthcare providers to optimize patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial patient assessments to evaluate mental health and substance use issues, thereby informing individualized care strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and periodically review individualized treatment plans that align with client recovery goals.
  • Facilitate individual and group psychotherapy sessions focusing on topics such as coping strategies, relapse prevention, and stress management.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during critical situations to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Document patient progress meticulously and maintain accurate electronic health records to support continuity of care.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate a holistic treatment approach for clients.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and staff meetings to discuss case management, share insights, and adhere to best practices in behavioral health.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health care and apply evidence-based research and techniques in your clinical practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients primarily include individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. We serve a diverse population representing various backgrounds, age groups, and socioeconomic statuses. Providing culturally competent care is pivotal, as we tailor our therapeutic approaches to respect and address the unique needs and experiences of each patient.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
  • A current and valid license to practice clinical social work in the state of Virginia is mandatory.
  • Proven experience providing psychotherapy services to clients facing mental health challenges, particularly in substance use contexts.
  • Exceptional communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills are essential for effective patient engagement.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems and other healthcare technology for documenting patient care.
  • A dedication to evidence-based practice and a commitment to continuous professional development is expected of all team members.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in detox or inpatient settings is highly favorable.
  • Familiarity with treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
  • Previous experience in crisis intervention or emergency response in a clinical setting will be advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting the skill and expertise you bring to our team. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, retirement planning options, and support for continuing education. We aim to promote a work-life balance that is conducive to both workplace productivity and personal fulfillment.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Ultra Care Counseling Services, we prioritize the professional advancement of our employees. You will have access to training sessions, workshops, and seminars that enhance your clinical skills and career trajectory. We encourage all staff to pursue specialty certifications and additional education to foster both personal and organizational growth.

Why Join Our Team
