After-Hours Private Duty Home Health On-Call Scheduler (Remote - South Florida Residents Only)
This remote role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted home care services by coordinating caregiver schedules, responding to caregiver call-offs, managing schedule changes, resolving urgent staffing needs, and providing exceptional after-hours support to clients, caregivers, referral sources, and internal clinical teams.
The ideal candidate is organized, solutions-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. They remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and deliver outstanding customer service while ensuring continuity of care through timely scheduling and staffing coordination for our Private Duty Home Care program.
Preferred Experience

What You'll Do
  • Coordinate after-hours caregiver schedules and urgent staffing requests.
  • Respond to caregiver call-offs, schedule changes, and client needs.
  • Fill open shifts while maintaining continuity of care.
  • Coordinate caregivers based on availability, qualifications, client needs, and location.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, referral sources, and internal teams.
  • Answer after-hours service inquiries and provide information about available services and billing rates.
  • Monitor after-hours calls, emails, and scheduling systems to ensure timely responses.
  • Accurately document scheduling activity in AlayaCare, UKG, and other company systems.
  • Escalate urgent staffing or operational concerns and provide clear handoffs to the daytime team.

Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in home health, private duty, healthcare staffing, or medical scheduling.
  • Previous experience in after-hours or on-call scheduling preferred.
  • Experience coordinating caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, nurses, or other clinical staff.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with EMRs, AlayaCare, UKG, and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance while working remotely.
