Why We Started Test Double

Software is broken, and we're working hard to fix it. At Test Double, our mission is to improve the way the world builds software. While the goal may seem audacious, it’s what drives us. We believe that the current state of software development is not good enough, and we’re looking for others to join our cause.

Our Consultants

Developers at Test Double focus on writing high-quality software and process improvements to solve some of the hardest problems our client teams face. We embed with client teams to implement solutions that are well-tested, easily maintained, and built with empathy for users. Most of our projects fall under legacy rewrites, framework upgrades, and product delivery.
Our Approach to AI
We use AI to meaningfully improve how software platforms are designed, built, and delivered. We exercise judgment in when and how to apply it, balancing speed, quality, reliability, and maintainability.
We produce work that meets a high bar, can explain our approach, and adapt as tools and practices evolve. We help teams adopt AI effectively by shaping patterns, practices, and standards that improve outcomes over time.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

Client Delivery

  • Proactively working with the client to deliver quality software solutions

  • Communicating effectively with client colleagues on process, delivery, and team health to increase team proficiency

  • Progressively enhance the codebase and supporting systems and pay down tech debt as part of the software delivery process

What We’re Most Interested In You Having

  • Several years of professional experience in Python

  • Rapid assimilation to new software systems and domains, while identifying root causes

  • Experience communicating with teams to encourage decomposing work and adopting beneficial agile team processes.

Our Subcontractors are highly valued members of our team. Once you're qualified, you enter our  talent pool and we'll reach out to you with projects that align with your background. Projects are 3+months on average, with many extending beyond that. Whether you're able to join for a short term contract or long-term engagement, we encourage you to apply!
Compensation is dependent on experience and interview process
