The Role
We are looking for a Sr. Full Stack Developer (remote, residing in Canada)to join a new, focused team that owns our products AI Strategy. the work is about bringing meaningful AI capabilities to our product and the broader mortgage workflow. You will be working with real customers in a fast moving environment.
Our ideal candidate is comfortable working at any level of the stack, holds high standards for the quality of their work,a dn takes full ownership of what they delver. You will be expected to drive your work independently, contribute to technical decisions, and grow alongside the team. Familiarity with Node.js and services is requires, and you should have a clear point of view on automation tools for building, testing, and releasing software to production.


You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Take ownership of your features through the full development cycle, from requirements and design through to deployment and continuous enhancements
  • Contribute to software quality by providing meaningful and constructive code reviews
  • Communicate and document technical decisions clearly for the team and stakeholders
  • Write tests as a core part of your development process
  • Participate in design and requirements workshops, stand-ups and retrospectives
  • Participate in developer roundtable sessions to help improve our process, tooling and techniques
  • Shape and continuously improve our development process
  • Contribute to the success of the whole team by sharing feedback, providing assistance and participating in lunch and learn sessions


What You Bring:

  • A solid foundation in full stack web development, with strong understanding of programming concepts and paradigms
  • Hands on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, and familiarity with Node.js and React
  • A track record of writing clean, tested and maintainable code
  • The ability to communicate your technical thinking clearly, and incorporate feedback constructively
  • An ownership mindset -- you bring solutions, take initiative, and care about the outcome of your work
  • Curiosity and the drive to keep growing, both as an engineer and as a teammate

Bonus Points:

  • Experience using AI tools in your development workflow -- we care about how and why you use them, not just that you do
  • Experience building AI-enabled features in a production environment, whether in a personal project or a professional setting
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, FinTech or regulated environments, and Agile practices
  • Experience with modern development practices such as paired programming and test driven development
