This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while providing essential mental health services to clients in need. • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health to ascertain their current status and treatment needs.
• Develop individualized therapy plans that address a range of issues including substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and grief.
• Regularly meet with clients, providing therapeutic interventions, coping strategies, and practical tools to help them navigate their challenges effectively.
• Maintain comprehensive records of client progress using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to optimize each client’s care plan and treatment outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing consultation and support within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting shared experiences and collective healing.

Your work will focus primarily on clients at various stages of life, many of whom are facing significant psychological challenges in a hospice setting. This may include working with individuals grappling with terminal illnesses, bereavement, or prolonged mental health difficulties. Understanding the unique emotional needs of these clients, and being sensitive to their situations, is essential for providing effective care.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or therapy.
• A robust understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and the importance of cultural competence in therapeutic practices.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver individual and group therapy sessions, employing culturally responsive approaches.
• Strong crisis intervention abilities, with a calm and collected demeanor in high-stress situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of establishing rapport with diverse client populations.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
• A commitment to uphold professional ethics, boundaries, and confidentiality in all client interactions.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience working in hospice care or palliative settings, providing support to clients dealing with terminal illness.
• Group facilitation skills in settings focused on grief and bereavement.
• Experience in crisis medication management in collaboration with licensed psychiatrists.

The compensation for this position ranges between USD 70,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
