Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000


Key Responsibilities

Prepare and initial review of simpler individual, corporation, partnership and nonprofit returns.

Prepare trusts, estate and gift tax returns, knowledgeable of estate & trusts a plus.

Assume tax preparation for more complex tax returns, including consolidation, and returns with multi-state and international tax issues.

Assists with year-end tax planning and quarterly estimates; Assists with year-end projections for high-net-worth individuals.

Respond to inquiries from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and other tax authorities, and Interface with tax authorities to assist with gathering information for local, state and federal tax audits

Provide oversight, training and support to interns and staff, and promote open communication with their manager and partner

Participate in tax research projects on a variety of tax issues, and assists with training on various related topics

Proactively manage project deadlines to ensure delivery of work product based on client and management team expectations and statutory deadlines. Openly communicate with managers and partners about the status and progress of tasks and projects.

Continue to develop, maintain, and improve knowledge of local, state, and federal tax rules, regulations, and guidance.

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field required

CPA license preferred or is actively working towards obtaining licensure

Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting

Clear, concise, and professional verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organization skills, detail-oriented and can handle a fast-paced work environment.

Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Experience with tax software packages- CCH ProSystem Engagement, CCH Axcess Tax, CCH Axcess Document and CCH Axcess Workstream, a plus.
