In your role as a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Counsel clients individually through video chat, utilizing your clinical expertise to support their mental health improvement.
• Foster a safe and open dialogue by encouraging clients to discuss their emotions and experiences, aiding them in gaining insights into their personal and relational dynamics.
• Act as an effective advocate for clients, assisting them in setting and achieving tailored therapeutic goals.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients’ mental health status, creating and implementing treatment plans that are solution-focused and grounded in your professional experience.

Your practice will focus on stable adults who are pre-screened and present with low acuity mental health conditions. This careful client selection ensures that you work with individuals whose needs align closely with your strengths and specialties. Our patient population is thoughtfully matched to your skills and demographic preferences, providing a rewarding and impactful experience for both you and your clients.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Full licensure to practice independently as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Note: Candidates with limited or provisional licenses will not be considered.
• Strong critical evaluation and decision-making skills for developing client treatment plans and implementing effective therapeutic strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for the establishment of strong therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Proficiency in using technology to facilitate virtual therapy sessions.

While not mandatory, having experience in diverse therapeutic modalities and familiarity with various mental health conditions will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Your ability to connect with clients from different backgrounds and understand a range of mental health challenges will significantly contribute to their journey towards wellness.

Inner Horizon Counseling offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and hours worked. Full-time counselors are also eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend, ensuring that our team members can maintain their own well-being while caring for others.
