This position is fully remote, allowing you to conduct sessions from the comfort of your home in West Haven, Connecticut. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will be responsible for delivering therapeutic interventions and assessments to stable, low-acuity adults. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing ethical and compassionate individual counseling sessions primarily conducted via video chat.
• Continuously assessing clients' treatment needs to ensure the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
• Developing and monitoring personalized treatment plans that focus on recovery and solution-based approaches.
• Working collaboratively with clients to help them cultivate essential coping mechanisms, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.
• Documenting progress and interventions in client records efficiently using our user-friendly counselor portal, which minimizes administrative burdens.

Your role will primarily involve working with adults who are in various stages of recovery in our detox center. These clients often come from diverse backgrounds and face a range of challenges. Your expertise and support will be instrumental in helping them develop the skills and resilience needed to overcome obstacles and achieve lasting recovery.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A valid and current state license to practice psychotherapy, specifically as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Independently licensed to practice without supervision, with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature to connect effectively with clients.
• Proficient computer skills, with the ability to navigate our counselor portal and telehealth platforms.
• Access to stable and high-speed Wi-Fi to conduct remote sessions seamlessly.

While not mandatory, the following experiences would enhance your application and fit for this role:

• Prior experience working with individuals struggling with substance use or behavioral health disorders.
• Experience providing services in a remote or telehealth setting.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies specific to addiction and mental health.
