As a remote mental health counselor, you will have the flexibility to work from any location, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while serving clients effectively. Our team collaborates digitally, employing electronic health records systems such as AVATAR to maintain seamless communication and accurate documentation of client progress. • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, gathering detailed histories and insights from clients to inform your treatment approach.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that address the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring alignment with established goals and therapeutic best practices.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to promote healing and growth.
• Continuously monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment process, adapting interventions as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to integrate services and optimize client care.
• Provide psychoeducation and support to family members and caregivers, empowering them to assist clients in their recovery journeys.
• Identify and address behavioral challenges that may hinder recovery, employing proactive strategies to enhance client safety and engagement.
• Manage referral processes to other specialists and resources as needed, ensuring comprehensive care for a wide range of mental health conditions.

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including adolescents, adults, and families facing various challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Your approach will respect individual differences and cultural backgrounds, adapting therapeutic techniques to resonate with each client’s unique experiences and values.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
• A successful pass of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Excellent proficiency in electronic health record systems, with a preference for experience in AVATAR.
• Demonstrated ability to assess and manage underlying physical, emotional, and behavioral health conditions.
• Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, coupled with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

• At least two years of professional experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a solid track record of effective client service.
• Experience working with populations affected by addiction and co-occurring disorders.
• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and evidence-based techniques.
• In-depth understanding of prescribed medications' impacts on mental health, acquired through collaborative experiences with healthcare providers.
