As part of a community health clinic, our virtual team operates within a supportive and multidisciplinary framework, involving regular communication and collaboration with colleagues across various disciplines, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers. You will have access to advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure smooth documentation and patient management.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for new and existing clients to evaluate their needs, symptoms, and goals.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups to foster community among clients dealing with similar issues, contributing to their overall mental health awareness and coping skills.
• Provide crisis intervention services to clients in urgent need of support, ensuring timely and effective responses to mental health emergencies.
• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources for ongoing support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment progress, adhering to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Engage in regular case consultations, attend team meetings, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to further enhance therapeutic skills.
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in the field of mental health counseling to continuously improve care quality.

You will be working with a diverse clientele, including individuals dealing with a range of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and more. Our clients come from various backgrounds, reflecting the rich diversity of Boston and are seeking guidance, support, and strategies to enhance their quality of life.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts.
• Strong understanding of a variety of mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and the ability to apply these in practice.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting mental health assessments and creating effective treatment plans.
• Proficiency in delivering individual and group therapy to diverse populations with sensitivity and respect.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, and adherence to ethical standards in all therapeutic interactions.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications for effective case management.

• A minimum of two years of experience providing mental health counseling in a relevant clinical setting.
• Previous experience in community health clinics or similar environments focusing on accessible mental health care.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and remote counseling methodologies would be an asset.
