Job description

We are looking for a software engineer (m/f/d) with a background in systems programming and data engineering to join our telemetry team. You will work in a small, focused team collaborating closely with other teams within Advantest and its partners to create a solution that allows us to collect, transfer, process, and analyze telemetry data of our V93000 test systems in use world-wide.
The job is located in the Boblingen office. Occasional remote work is possible.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Identifying requirements and constraints for a telemetry solution
  • Defining the data formats and models and the processing procedures
  • Selecting appropriate tools and technologies
  • Designing and implementing the respective software incrementally and iteratively as a member of an agile team
  • Validating the solution in-house and with our partners and customers
  • Consulting teams about the utilization of the telemetry solution
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of software engineering practices, including CI/CD, version control (Git), and automated testing
  • Experience with the Linux operating system and systems programming on Linux
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for systems programming and data engineering tasks with a sense for code quality
  • Knowledge about cloud platforms, especially services related to data pipelines and data storage and frameworks for batch data processing
  • Understanding of security and compliance in data handling, including networking, encryption, access control, and data anonymization
  • Being a team player with the desire to work in an international team
  • Creativity in problem solving
  • Very good communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:
