We are seeking a US Navy Personnel Specialist (PS) Rating Subject Matter Expert (SME), to work as an integral part of a collaborative training development team for a DoD customer. The role is based in Florida and allows for remote work, with no travel. This position may allow for remote work; however, employees must be able and willing to travel and provide in-office or on-site support as required by customer requirements, project demands, or business needs required.
Duties:
- Possess in-depth knowledge and experience in a specific area, serving as the primary resource for that knowledge.
- Collaborate with instructional designers to develop and review training materials, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with learning objectives.
- Identify and capture relevant knowledge, skills, and procedures from various sources (e.g., documentation, experts, real-world scenarios).
- Provide constructive feedback on training content, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Remain up-to-date on the latest industry standards, best practices, and advancements in your area of expertise.
- Act as a consultant for instructional design, providing guidance and expertise on various aspects of training development.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, trainers, and subject matter experts from other areas.
- Potentially involved in delivering training sessions or workshops, sharing your expertise directly with learners.
- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to your area of expertise.
- Strong knowledge and experience in your specific subject matter.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information.
- Understanding of instructional design principles and how to create effective learning experiences.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze information, identify gaps, and provide solutions.

- Experience in the following areas: systems, operations, logistics, engineering, design. Executes tasks and projects relevant to subject matter. Performs studies, analysis and reviews on subjects within the technical scope of the work. Reduces issues to practical recommendation options
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years system specific experience.
Required Education:
- BA/BS or equivalent
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
