Job Description

Territory: Entire State of Indiana
Travel: Up to 50% (customer visits, training, industry events, and business meetings)

Are you a technically savvy sales professional who thrives on solving customer challenges and building long-term partnerships? Pyrotek is seeking a Sales Engineer for our USA Foundry Group to lead growth across Indiana by delivering innovative products, equipment, and technical solutions to aluminum foundry customers. This role combines consultative selling, technical expertise, and strategic account management to help customers improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
As a trusted advisor, you'll work directly with foundries to identify opportunities, provide technical support, develop customized solutions, and drive profitable growth throughout the territory.
What You'll Do
Grow and Develop the Indiana Territory
  • Manage and expand relationships with existing foundry customers throughout Indiana.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the territory.
  • Execute strategic sales plans to grow revenue and profitability.
  • Negotiate pricing, supply agreements, and commercial terms.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales and gross profit objectives.

Be a Technical Problem Solver
  • Assess customer operations and recommend solutions that improve production performance.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions.
  • Provide timely technical support and collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Develop customized proposals, quotations, and value-based recommendations.
  • Analyze customer needs and translate them into practical, effective solutions.

Build Trusted Customer Partnerships
  • Conduct regular onsite customer visits across the territory.
  • Develop relationships with plant managers, engineers, operators, purchasing teams, and executive decision-makers.
  • Manage customer communications and maintain detailed account activity within CRM systems.
  • Partner with customer service, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of technical sales, industrial sales, engineering, or customer-facing experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% throughout Indiana and occasionally beyond the territory as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the aluminum, metals, foundry, manufacturing, process, or industrial industries.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and materials engineering principles.
  • Experience selling technical products, equipment, consumables, or engineered solutions.
  • Strong understanding of value-based selling and consultative sales methodologies.

Territory Details
