Job description

Job Title: Remote Electrical Engineering Manager (HV/BESS) Location: Houston, Texas Type: 6 month Contract Contractor Work Model: Remote – offsite

Responsibilities

  • Support HV Substation and BESS projects, providing technical leadership and oversight.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure design, construction, and commissioning meet industry standards and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with utility companies, developers, and EPC contractors to facilitate project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, engineering, and regulatory standards throughout project phases.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to HV and BESS systems.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in US utility, developer, or EPC work in relevant engineering roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BS Electrical).
  • Strong knowledge of HV Substation design, BESS project requirements, and related electrical systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with UL, IEEE, NEC standards is preferred.
