Coast Abilities Mental and Behavioral Center is seeking passionate and qualified Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our team in a full-time, remote setting. Our outpatient psychiatric facility specializes in addressing a wide range of mental health disorders, from anxiety and depression to substance abuse and bipolar disorder. This position is designed to offer flexibility, allowing professionals to work remotely while maintaining a strong connection to a vibrant team. • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ needs and collaboratively establish treatment goals.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups, utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
• Lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups to foster community and equip participants with mental health coping strategies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans that support holistic patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients experiencing mental health emergencies.
• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources available for ongoing support.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations, including proper use of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops to enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy to continually improve service delivery.

Your primary focus will be treating a diverse population, including individuals grappling with various mental health challenges such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, and substance use disorders. By fostering an inclusive and understanding therapeutic environment, you will help clients navigate their mental health journeys, allowing them to work towards improved wellbeing and overall quality of life.

• A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field is required; a Master’s or Doctoral degree in mental health counseling, social work, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Possession of valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California is essential.
• Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and treatment approaches relevant to the population served.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
• Demonstrated experience in both individual and group therapy settings.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Firm understanding of professional ethics and the ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and maintaining confidential patient information.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

• Experience in providing mental health services in various modalities, including telehealth.
• Familiarity with community resources available to clients for ongoing support and information.
• Prior work experience within a community health clinic or similar outpatient facility.

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
