Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for new and existing patients, identifying mental health challenges accurately.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based solution-oriented therapeutic interventions.
• Document clinical interactions and treatment progress thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR) within specified timelines.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Stay current with mental health research and innovative treatment practices to enhance service delivery and care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LCSW at our clinic, you will serve a diverse array of patients, ranging from children to adults, who present with various mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustments to life transitions. Understanding each patient’s unique situation is critical, and your empathetic approach will play an essential role in creating a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution.
• Active LCSW licensure in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based solution-focused therapies and other therapeutic modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective assessment and intervention planning.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a clinical mental health setting, preferably within community health environments.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation practices.
• Previous involvement in developing and implementing mental health outreach programs.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including those from various cultural backgrounds.
