The Associate Director, Oncology Communications is a key member of the Oncology Communications team with a focus on supporting priority products and pipeline programs. Reporting to the Senior Director, Oncology Communications, this role will both own workstreams and provide support across key workstreams and larger initiatives. This position requires a communicator with flexibility to work across multiple projects simultaneously, a focus on flawless execution, scientific fluency, and a desire to collaborate effectively across teams.


Key Objectives / Deliverables


Support the development and execution of communications plans for priority products and pipeline programs, including data readouts and disclosures, regulatory achievements and branded and unbranded communications strategies
Develop content including press materials, key messages, standby statements, Q&A documents, fact sheets, executive talking points, and internal communications
Implement effective branded and unbranded communications tactics to reach priority audiences using a variety of channels
Stay current with the competitive landscape and external environment, flagging emerging issues and opportunities
Flex across products, pipeline programs and other projects, as needed
Partner with agency resources and external vendors to implement communications plans
Use analytics and measurement to assess communications impact and recommend improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, IR, and more


Basic Qualifications


Bachelor's degree
5+ years of communications experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare environments
Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role, including but not limited to F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1.

Experience with scientific or clinical data communications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in the oncology space
Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, compelling content for diverse audiences
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and shift priorities rapidly
Collaborative mindset while operating across projects and functional boundaries
Proactive, solutions-oriented approach
Outstanding attention to detail
Experience working in a matrixed organization with sophisticated collaborator dynamics
Deep understanding of traditional and emerging communication approaches and channels
Additional Information
Located in Indianapolis, IN or Remote. Domestic and international travel expected.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$127,500 - $187,000

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
