Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to develop a thorough understanding of clients' mental health concerns, existing strengths, and available resources.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused approaches to provide engaging individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Collaboratively formulate and implement individualized treatment plans, establishing goals and intervention strategies that are tailored to each client's circumstances.
• Engage actively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and educational staff, to coordinate care effectively.
• Deliver crisis intervention services, conducting risk assessments and devising safety plans as necessary to ensure the well-being of clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records that comply with professional ethical standards and relevant legal requirements.
• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions, psychoeducational classes, and support groups to enhance community and peer support among clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on supporting students and their families who may be experiencing a multitude of mental health challenges. You will engage with a diverse client population, including those facing anxiety, depression, and trauma, and work towards fostering their emotional resilience and coping mechanisms throughout their educational journey.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• At least two years of relevant experience in a mental health or outpatient setting, particularly in educational contexts.
• Robust understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in educational settings, collaborating with teachers and school staff to address students' mental health needs.
• Familiarity with community resources and referral services that can assist clients outside the therapeutic realm.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining client documentation.
