Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the needs of each client.
• Formulate detailed treatment plans that address the specific goals and challenges faced by clients, collaborating with them to establish measurable outcomes.
• Advocate for individuals and families, connecting them to vital resources including financial assistance, housing support, and educational services.
• Offer crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute psychological episodes, such as suicidal thoughts or severe stress responses.
• Engage in community outreach and educational programs that promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health challenges.
• Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, treatment progress, and interventions in compliance with HIPAA standards and state regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and mentorship programs to enhance your clinical skills and personal growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and their families. You will work directly with students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, implementing strategies that foster positive mental health in a school setting. This includes working collaboratively with educators and family members to support students in overcoming obstacles to academic success and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current Vermont state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with the ability to practice independently.
• A compassionate and culturally aware approach to client interactions, understanding the diverse backgrounds and experiences of each individual.
• Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic support to individuals, couples, or families, particularly in a school or community setting.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of clinical experience in a social work setting, particularly focused on school environments.
• Knowledge of school systems and familiarity with educational resources available for children and families.
• Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care practices.

Compensation and Benefits
