What are remote economics jobs?

Remote economics jobs are positions in the field of economics that can be performed from any location outside of a traditional office setting, often using digital communication and collaboration tools. These roles may include economic research, data analysis, policy advising, consulting, or teaching, and are commonly found at organizations such as research institutes, government agencies, consulting firms, and academic institutions. Working remotely allows economists to collaborate with global teams and access a wider range of job opportunities, all while maintaining flexibility in their work environment.

What are remote economics jobs?

Many remote economics jobs focus on performing research and analysis and making forecasts about the economy as well as specific businesses and markets. Other virtual economics jobs involve teaching classes in economics. The duties and responsibilities of these work from home positions vary. If you teach economy classes, you prepare a syllabus and teach each course in a virtual learning environment. As a remote economist, you collect data and use it to explain an economic phenomenon or predict future business trends for companies, industry organizations, or governments. You can also offer insight to media outlets as a consultant.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote economist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Economist, you need strong analytical skills, a solid foundation in economic theory, and typically at least a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics or a related field. Familiarity with statistical analysis software (such as Stata, R, or Python), data visualization tools, and remote collaboration platforms is crucial. Exceptional written communication, self-motivation, and time management are standout soft skills in this fully remote role. These skills and qualities enable rigorous economic analysis, effective teamwork across distances, and clear presentation of findings to stakeholders.

How do remote economics professionals typically collaborate with team members and stakeholders across different locations?

Remote economics professionals often work with colleagues, clients, or policymakers located in various regions, so effective collaboration relies heavily on digital tools. They frequently use video conferencing, shared documents, and project management platforms to communicate findings, discuss data analyses, and coordinate research projects. Regular virtual meetings and clear documentation are essential to ensure everyone stays aligned and informed. Building strong communication habits and being proactive about updates help overcome the challenges of remote teamwork in this field.

General Manager Future CEO Track | B2C SaaS

Job description

General Manager – Future CEO Track | B2C SaaS

Remote | Full-time | Executive Leadership Role

RapidSeedbox is a profitable, bootstrapped B2C SaaS company providing online privacy and infrastructure solutions to thousands of customers worldwide through a self-service subscription model.

We are looking for an ambitious, product-minded General Manager to lead the company through its next stage of growth. Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, this person will take increasing ownership of the business, with the potential to step into the CEO role after demonstrating strong results.

This is not a traditional corporate management position. We need a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader who can move comfortably between strategy and execution, work across different areas of the business, and drive sustainable revenue and profit growth within a lean organization.

What You’ll Do
  • Identify and execute opportunities to increase revenue, profitability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Optimize the full B2C customer journey, including acquisition, onboarding, activation, retention, churn reduction, and monetization.
  • Establish company-wide goals, KPIs, dashboards, and accountability systems.
  • Coordinate execution across Product, Engineering, IT Operations, Marketing, and People Operations.
  • Partner closely with technical teams and translate business priorities into clear initiatives.
  • Stay close to customers and use their behavior and feedback to guide product and growth decisions.
  • Gradually assume full ownership of the company’s P&L and financial performance.
  • Build the systems, processes, and leadership structure needed to support sustainable growth.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong experience growing a B2C SaaS product through a product-led, self-service subscription model.
  • Deep understanding of B2C subscription growth, including acquisition, onboarding, activation, retention, churn, monetization, and lifecycle optimization.
  • Experience in a small or bootstrapped technology company, ideally with fewer than 50 employees.
  • A track record of helping a SaaS business grow within or beyond the $1M–$5M ARR range.
  • Leadership experience working across Product, Growth, Engineering, or other technical functions.
  • A hands-on and resourceful approach, with the ability to solve problems directly rather than relying on large teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using funnels, cohorts, experimentation, customer insights, and unit economics to guide decisions.
  • Experience leading distributed and multicultural remote teams.
  • Previous P&L ownership or responsibility for the performance of a business unit is highly valued.
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills.

Profiles coming from Product, Growth, or cross-functional B2C SaaS leadership roles—such as VP of Product, CPO, Head of Growth, Business Unit Leader, or General Manager—may be especially relevant.

What We Offer
  • A fully remote leadership opportunity in a profitable and established B2C SaaS company.
  • Direct collaboration, mentorship, and coaching from the Founder and CEO.
  • Significant influence over the company’s product, growth strategy, operations, and culture.
  • A clear opportunity to progress toward the CEO position based on performance.
  • Base compensation plus a performance-based bonus tied to company growth and profitability.
  • The opportunity to lead a global remote team and shape the company’s next stage.
