Our mission is to amplify local change to accelerate global impact. We work across our focus areas Human Rights; Civil Society; Economic Development; Conflict & Peacebuilding; Climate & Environment; Education; and Public Health.
We are currently seeking a Media Associate to join our Media team. Our Media team creates content promoting the work of community initiatives, engages blog writers with design support, and collaborates across teams at GroundBreakers. The Media Associate will create content amplifying the work of leaders in the GroundBreakers Network in addition to promoting the work of the Racial Equity and Pando teams within GroundBreakers.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a passion for intersectional equity and strong skillsets in graphic design and communications.
This position is a remote, unpaid internship with GroundBreakers. Applications for this position will be accepted until 11:59pm on March 19, 2021.
Job Description
As a Media Associate for GroundBreakers, your duties would include:
  • Creating and posting content across GroundBreakers social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn;
  • Designing cover art for blog submissions to the GroundBreakers media platform;
  • Writing efficient captions to be shared across social media platforms;
  • Collaborating with media team leadership on designs and content ideas.

  • Prior experience with social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Experience with graphic design and digital art tools including Canva highly desired.

  • Highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
