Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for families, effectively communicating treatment goals, progress, and any necessary modifications to care plans.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions, adhering to the therapeutic frameworks of our organization, particularly focusing on Attachment-Based Family Therapy methodologies.
  • Facilitate comprehensive Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and support groups to engage families in the therapeutic process and provide them with essential tools for support.
  • Complete all necessary documentation including client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner, following established standards to maintain care quality.
  • Utilize various tools such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for accurate data management and communication.
  • Participate actively in weekly treatment team meetings, contributing insights on client progress and collaborating with peers to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Represent Positive Progress Counseling Center at relevant meetings, trainings, and conferences, showcasing our commitment to community health and therapeutic excellence.
  • Independently manage your schedule to ensure timely completion of therapy sessions and related administrative tasks.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adolescents and young adults facing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and various psychological disorders. By employing evidence-based practices, you will guide clients and their families towards sustainable healing and improved life skills, fostering resilience in their daily lives.

Qualifications
  • Required: Masterโ€™s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field, or currently enrolled in a Doctorate program from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Board registered status in the state of Florida (such as APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or as a Psychological Associate is mandatory.
  • A strong foundation in individual, group, and family therapy with experience specifically in adolescent or young adult demographics.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in treating various mental health issues such as substance abuse, eating disorders, and trauma-informed approaches is highly desirable.
  • Previous involvement in family therapy sessions and group dynamics will enhance your ability to connect with clients.
