• Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to address an array of psychological issues, using evidence-based techniques and therapeutic modalities to ensure effective treatment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, social workers, and community resources, contributing to the comprehensive care plan for each client.
• Actively participate in ongoing professional development workshops and training sessions to stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health strategies and therapeutic practices.
• Contribute innovative ideas and feedback for refining clinical services and enhancing patient outcomes, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

This role supports a diverse range of clients, including those facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. We serve individuals from various demographics and socio-economic backgrounds, ensuring that our counseling services are accessible and responsive to the unique needs of the community of Santa Ana. Our ethos is built around empowering each client to achieve their personal goals and enhance their mental well-being.

• A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active license/certification in the state of California (e.g., LPCC, LCSW, LMFT) is required to practice as a mental health counselor.
• A minimum of two years of experience working directly with individuals facing a range of emotional and psychological challenges.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly with clients, essential for effective therapy.

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems to maintain up-to-date patient documentation and treatment notes.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and evidence-based therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Prior experience in a community health clinic or similar environment is advantageous.
