Our Senior Java Developer designs, builds, and maintains the back-end services that power the Medicare Provider Portal, and the Apache Camel based integration applications, delivering secure, high-performance code that meets healthcare compliance and quality standards. They ensure adherence to architectural guidelines, coding standards, and CI/CD processes while collaborating with product owners, QA, and operations to translate requirements into reliable, test-driven solutions. This Sr Java Developer supports the organization's broader goal of remaining a leader among Medicare contractors by ensuring a high quality, secure, and performant provider experience that reinforces the company's reputation for excellence and compliance.
Salary Range$100,000 ~ $130,000The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and may fall outside of this range.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience building enterprise-grade Java SE/EE applications, writing production-ready code, and applying unit-and integration-
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and supporting Apache Camel-based integration solutions that expose and consume secure RESTful services, configure routes, handle errors, and connect to legacy systems, web services, and message brokers.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Scrum teams, delivering user-story increments, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, and using Scrum artifacts to manage work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Medicare provider-portal workflows, CMS regulatory considerations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH), and common health-data exchange standards (HL7, X12, FHIR) sufficient to understand business requirements and compliance impacts.
  • Expertise with SQL Server queries and stored procedures.
  • A working understanding of OAuth 2.0 (Open Authorization) for API security.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for pipelines and story management.
