Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to accurately determine each client’s needs and develop effective treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to a diverse array of clients—including individuals, couples, families, and groups—utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date clinical documentation and progress notes in compliance with ethical guidelines and local regulations.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create a comprehensive approach to client care that addresses various aspects of mental health.

• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops and relevant training to stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse client population, encompassing individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and substance abuse. Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• A valid and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.

• At least 2 years of direct counseling experience, preferably in a clinical or community health setting.

• Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations applicable to counseling practices.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport and effectively communicate with clients from various backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and other relevant digital tools to maintain efficient practice operations.

Preferred Experience
