The Filtration Sales Specialist for Cytiva is responsible for territory growth, expansion of direct sales, establishment of professional relationships and meeting targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.


This role reports to the Northeast Eastern Canada USCAN Filtration Zone Leader and is part of the Resin, Filtration, and Media business unit. The position is remote and is responsible for covering the Northeast US (New England), Quebec and Eastern Provinces.

What you will do:

  • Contribute to sales strategies and account plans, as part of the core account team. Develop sales opportunities to create a sales funnel to meet business targets. Manage leads and prospects using customer relationship management software.
  • Primarily focus on FiltrationConsumables opportunities and surrounding single use designs within the territory, and supports all filtrationconsumables products, process related single use technologies and relevant equipment to support these processes. These responsibilities include both by providing the Account Manager in sales process with product expertise as well as independently identifying opportunities.
  • Develop the sales of modality process solutions in the assigned sales region/territory, establishing long lasting technical customer relationships.
  • Provide high level technical expertise during pre-sales discussions, instrument demonstrations, customer training, post-sales support, seminars, tenders/quotes, and promotional events.
  • Lead technical and process related discussions with customer Subject Matter Experts and give applicative support including trouble shooting and answer customer queries of sophisticated technical and applicative nature.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or relevant field
  • 2+ plus years of hands-on experience with filtration and downstream processing preferred
  • Strong communication skills - English written and spoken
  • Problem solving skills applied to customer processes
  • Data analysis - performance and sales trend reporting

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel - 20 % travel, overnight, within territory or locations
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 35lb, any other physical requirements

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • GMP manufacturing experience
  • Process development with knowledge of clinical workflow
  • Commercial sales process, preferably in the Biotechnology industry.
  • Cross selling, upselling, value positions and funnel management.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
