What is remote dog sitting?

Remote dog sitting is a service where a pet sitter cares for a dog at the dog's home while the owner is away, but communication and updates are provided virtually. The sitter may visit the home to feed, walk, and play with the dog, but the coordination, scheduling, and check-ins often happen through phone calls, video chats, or pet care apps rather than face-to-face. This allows owners to monitor their pet's well-being and stay connected with the sitter even if they're far away. Remote dog sitting is ideal for pet owners who want regular updates and peace of mind while traveling.
