This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while still engaging with a supportive team of healthcare providers. You will have access to a climate-controlled office setting when needed, facilitating effective interactions with department colleagues and cross-functional teams. Daily communication and collaboration will ensure continuity of care and provide robust support to our patients.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health status by utilizing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to formulate individual care plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapy, continually assessing patient progress, and modifying treatment plans as needed to support mental health and well-being.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment records, adhering to departmental procedures and regulatory requirements through current technology.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to co-develop comprehensive treatment strategies aimed at achieving desired health outcomes.
• Coordinate seamlessly with other healthcare providers and referral agencies to ensure patients receive holistic care and support in their recovery journey.
• Facilitate education and mentorship for junior staff, students, and interns, strengthening the team and building a culture of learning.
• Engage in continuous professional development while contributing to peer reviews and clinical audits under the guidance of supervising clinicians.

The focus of this role will be on individuals and families grappling with the complexities of cancer diagnosis and treatment. You will be directly involved in providing therapeutic interventions that help patients navigate emotional challenges, coping mechanisms, and overall mental health support during their journeys.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado.
• A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience, particularly within a healthcare or clinical setting.

• Experience working with oncology patients or in related fields that require a deep understanding of physical and emotional health challenges associated with chronic illnesses.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and their application in a clinical context.
