The South Pine Care Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Remote Mental Health Counselor to provide comprehensive psychological support within a community health clinic setting. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home in Houston, Texas. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique psychological needs of clients, effectively facilitating discussions and interventions.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate mental health needs, document findings, and prepare treatment plans that reflect the complexity of their cases.
  • Supervise and manage clinical care for a diverse caseload, ensuring that assessments and interventions are consistently applied and adjusted as needed.
  • Utilize evidence-based counseling skills to navigate crisis situations, develop coping strategies, and support clients and their families in addressing their needs.
  • Monitor client progress through regular follow-up evaluations and adapt therapeutic strategies to enhance outcomes.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive records of client sessions, treatment strategies, and progress reports, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
  • Educate and empower clients and their families regarding mental health issues, resources, and appropriate referral options when specialized services are needed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied client population, including individuals facing acute psychological distress, chronic mental health conditions, and situational life challenges. Our commitment to diversity means you will interact with clients from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet the specific needs of each individual.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates with a Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Applicants must hold an active license as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is mandatory, candidates with a strong grasp of therapeutic methodologies, especially in a remote or community health setting, will be highly regarded. Experience with electronic health record systems and virtual therapy platforms will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 135,000 per year, depending on experience and credentials. Benefits include:

  • Sign-on bonus of up to $1,500.
  • Flexibility in scheduling with options to work between 5-40 hours per week.
  • Potential for further bonuses up to $2,000 based on state licensure.
