Job description

Job Summary

The Director of Distribution Strategy & Sales Performance provides strategic leadership for the development, execution, and optimization of national distribution strategies supporting Medicare and ACA products. This role is responsible for strengthening and managing relationships with national and regional distribution partners, including brokers, agencies, and other external channels, to drive sustainable and cost‑effective sales growth. The position requires deep knowledge of Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plans, including SNP and non‑SNP offerings, ACA plans (on and off exchange), and Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRA). The Director designs and implements sales performance frameworks, aligns distribution strategies with regulatory and market requirements, and ensures effective execution across channels. An active resident life and health license, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire, is required.

Work Arrangement: Remote with required travel to Corporate Office Ellis Preserve, Newtown Square Pennsylvania.

Essential Functions:

  • Distribution Optimization: Develop and execute strategies to maximize reach and efficiency of sales channels, including brokers, agents, and digital platforms, ensuring broad and effective market penetration for Medicare and ACA products.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with brokers, agencies, and other key distribution partners to foster collaboration, resolve challenges, and support long-term business objectives.
  • Sales Performance Design: Create and refine sales processes, incentive programs, and performance metrics that promote cost-effective growth while maintaining high compliance and quality standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, and compliance teams to ensure sales strategies are aligned with product offerings, regulatory requirements, and market opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, distribution innovations, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and differentiation.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Oversee the development of performance dashboards and regular reporting to track channel effectiveness, sales outcomes, and return on investment.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • experience in health plan distribution, sales leadership, or channel management, with a strong background in Medicare and ACA products.10 or more years experience in health plan distribution, sales leadership, or channel management, with a strong background in Medicare and ACA products.

Other Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage and optimize multi-channel sales strategies on a national scale.
  • Strong technical competency with enrollment platforms, CRM systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for reporting, analytics, and presentations.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and analyzing sales performance metrics and cost management practices.
  • Strong understanding of CMS and ACA regulatory requirements.
  • Life & Health Producer License (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
  • Required national travel of up to 50%
