Equis Care Psychological Services is seeking a dedicated Full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in Henderson, Nevada. This remote position focuses on addressing the psychosocial needs of students within a school-based setting. The appointed LCSW will utilize their expertise to support students’ emotional and social development while contributing to their overall academic success.

Work Environment

This remote work setting allows for flexibility while maintaining the commitment to reaching our patients wherever they are. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments through interviews, direct observations, and medical record reviews to discern the emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting students’ well-being.
  • Provide targeted counseling and emotional support to students and their families, addressing common adjustment issues and enhancing coping strategies.
  • Partner with educational professionals and rehabilitation therapists to construct tailored treatment plans aimed at improving students’ psychosocial wellbeing.
  • Assist students in identifying and accessing community resources, such as support groups, vocational training programs, and housing assistance.
  • Offer guidance and education to families related to available community resources and continued support post-rehabilitation.
  • Engage in systematic discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions for students returning to their home settings or alternative care facilities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will work primarily with children and adolescents facing various challenges, including mental health disorders, adjustment issues related to trauma or transition, and social integration difficulties. This role emphasizes understanding the unique developmental needs of young individuals, providing compassionate support, and advocating for their emotional needs within the educational environment.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Currently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada.
  • Strong foundation in psychotherapy and counseling techniques specifically tailored for children and adolescents.
  • Ability to perform effective psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment goals in collaboration with school personnel and other healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits
