Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, employing validated tools and techniques.
  • Work closely with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals, preferences, and clinical needs.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their support systems, explaining the nature of their disorders, treatment modalities, and strategies for self-care.
  • Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations and outcomes.
  • Engage in regular collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals within the practice to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mental health treatment, remaining current with new practices and methodologies.
  • Maintain accurate and secure documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and assessments in adherence with HIPAA guidelines and ethical standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and continuing education initiatives to enhance your professional skills and best practices.
  • Actively advocate for clients, work to reduce stigma associated with mental health issues, and promote community awareness regarding mood disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will primarily focus on working with clients diagnosed with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our diverse clientele encompasses individuals from various backgrounds, requiring cultural competency and personalized therapeutic approaches that resonate with each client's unique experiences and challenges.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • Strong proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, specifically for treating mood disorders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of psychopharmacology.
  • Exemplary communication skills, enabling the building of therapeutic rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
