Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Active Life Psychiatric Center, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, including crisis plans and behavioral guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools as directed by the clinical team to ensure effectiveness in treatment approaches.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support strategies.
  • Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with state agencies, service systems, and community partners to enhance program visibility and support.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to foster trust and understanding, working to meet contract standards while promoting the clinic's mission.
  • Engage in personal and professional development by attending relevant training sessions, conferences, and professional meetings.
  • Investigate and integrate new methods that further the clinic's mission, values, and overall clinical goals.
  • Other similar duties as assigned by the Clinic Director.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve diverse populations, including individuals seeking recovery from substance use, those living with mental health challenges, and clients with developmental disabilities and brain injuries. Your work will focus on fostering their emotional strength and encouraging their participation in community-based activities, thus enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's or Doctorate Degree in a behavioral health field.
  • Active LMHC License issued by the state of Washington.
  • Proficiency in maintaining clinical records and preparing detailed reports.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team while independently making critical patient care decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey ideas clearly and supportively to clients and colleagues.
Preferred Experience

While not required, preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Experience in community mental health settings or similar environments.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and assessment tools specific to mental health and substance use recovery.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and service networks that enhance patient care.
Compensation and Benefits

Active Life Psychiatric Center offers a competitive salary range between USD 52,000 and 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
