• Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
• Provide consultation in creating both pre-crisis and crisis plans, including behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and medication treatment plans.
• Adhere to regulatory standards by completing timely and accurate documentation of all cases.
• Employ evidence-based screening tools as designated by the clinical team to inform treatment and intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans that promote client welfare.
• Actively engage in licensing and accreditation processes to ensure our services meet all regulatory requirements.
• Work as a liaison to relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners to facilitate communication and care coordination.
• Maintain open and effective communication channels to align with contract standards and propagate the mission of Empath within the community.
• Build and sustain relationships with various stakeholders including local, state, and federal agencies, which is key in promoting programs and securing new partnerships and funding opportunities.
• Pursue personal and professional development, taking part in conferences, workshops, and task forces relevant to mental health expertise.
• Embark on activities that enhance and promote the organization's mission, values, and principles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support organizational objectives.

The LPCC will primarily engage with a diverse population of clients facing emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. These populations may include individuals dealing with mental health disorders, those undergoing substance use recovery, and individuals with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries. Our approach emphasizes a strengths-based perspective, ensuring that each client is treated with dignity and respect while receiving personalized care that promotes their overall wellness and recovery.

• A Master’s Degree in a relevant mental health field is required.
• An active and independent LPCC license in California is mandatory.

• Previous experience working in community health settings or clinics is advantageous.
