This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, allowing professionals to deliver vital mental health services while enjoying the flexibility of a remote work environment.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to create a schedule that suits your lifestyle, with core hours typically falling Monday through Friday. While remote, all counselors are expected to maintain close and collaborative relationships with team members and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health evaluations and assessments, utilizing various psychological testing methodologies to gather comprehensive patient data.
• Providing immediate crisis intervention and follow-up care, ensuring all patients receive timely support when they need it most.
• Determining appropriate medication management or treatment plans by collaborating with psychiatrists and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Completing all necessary statistical reports to monitor patient progress and program outcomes.
• Coordinating care with external agencies, including the Department of Corrections, to ensure seamless access to mental health services.
• Leading group therapy sessions and workshops, focusing on various therapeutic techniques to promote recovery and resilience among patients.
• Committing to complete, accurate documentation to comply with legal and ethical standards.
• Participating in weekly supervision sessions to foster professional growth and development within a supportive clinical framework.
• Engaging in case conferences to collaboratively plan for patients receiving mental health services.
• Possibly supervising social work interns or student volunteers, providing mentorship and guidance in a clinical setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position predominantly serves a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing chronic mental health conditions, acute crisis situations, and those in need of ongoing emotional support and counseling. You will be an integral part of our team, working to address their needs through personalized care strategies.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a valid state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Preferred Experience

While a Bachelor’s degree is required, we highly prefer candidates with a Master’s degree or those who have completed internships in mental health settings. Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in remote care, is also an advantage. Familiarity with telehealth platforms can be beneficial.
