Group Connect Mental Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality psychosocial care to individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, particularly those impacted by cancer throughout various stages of their treatment journey. This includes working with patients diagnosed with cancer, those managing their illness, survivors, and individuals coping with recurrence or palliative needs.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, you will play a vital role in holistic patient care.

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate clients' mental health conditions, needs, and goals.
• Develop tailored treatment plans integrating evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Facilitate individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions to provide comprehensive support.
• Document all aspects of client care, including therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Stay informed about the latest research and therapeutic methodologies, integrating findings into therapy practices to enhance client outcomes.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to create a cohesive treatment approach that supports patient well-being.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to hone your therapeutic skills and expand your knowledge base.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families regarding mental health, coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Maintain compliance with ethical and legal standards within the mental health profession.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization.

This role primarily focuses on supporting cancer patients and their families, addressing mental health issues arising during treatment, recovery, and beyond. Clients may be experiencing a myriad of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, or grief related to their cancer journey. Your work will directly impact their emotional resilience, quality of life, and overall mental well-being

• A Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• A valid mental health licensure in Washington State (LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW) is essential for this role.
• Proven history of effective communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for respectful collaboration with clients and colleagues.
• No history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment in outpatient mental health settings.

• Experience providing mental health support to patients with serious illnesses, particularly within oncology settings.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth technologies for effective client engagement.
• Background in employing mindfulness practices and other alternative therapeutic approaches is highly desirable.

The salary range for this position is USD 50,000 to 70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
