This position is primarily remote, accommodating flexibility while maintaining an essential connection to our outpatient office. You will have access to advanced telehealth tools, allowing us to extend our reach to clients who may not otherwise seek help. Our counselors often conduct sessions via secure video conferencing, ensuring confidentiality and ease of accessibility for clients across various backgrounds.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate each client's mental health status and substance use history, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs.
• Develop tailored treatment plans rooted in best practices, incorporating input from the client to foster engagement and commitment to their treatment journey.
• Provide a range of therapeutic services, including one-on-one counseling, group therapy sessions, and family therapy interventions, tailored to meet the diverse needs of clients.
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system for efficiency.
• Collaborate continuously with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic and coordinated care, participating in regular case reviews and treatment planning meetings.
• Deliver crisis intervention services as necessary, demonstrating agility and compassion in high-pressure situations to support clients in immediate distress.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying abreast of the latest trends and best practices in mental health and substance abuse treatment.

You will work primarily with a diverse population, including adults and adolescents facing mental health challenges and substance use issues. Our clients vary in backgrounds, cultural identities, and personal experiences, enriching the therapy environment and presenting unique scenarios for professional growth and learning.

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in New York State, with relevant professional credentials.
• A minimum of two years of direct experience providing mental health and substance use treatment services in a relevant clinical setting.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficient in collaborative teamwork, demonstrating a capacity to integrate insights from multiple disciplines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a dynamic caseload effectively.

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred to enhance operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, or Motivational Interviewing.
• Background in crisis intervention techniques and a solid understanding of co-occurring disorders.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 90,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
